A Herd Of Elephants

The story of the North Star Suite will feature elephants and plenty of them. Enough , in fact, to form a good-sized herd. We decided to use elephant icons as roof brackets on the front “power tower.” Other creative elephant ideas will be woven into various trim details as well.

With that decision locked in, we fired up the CNC plasma cutter. More than a hundred pieces of steel were cut and welded together to form the tower’s roof structure, which will soon be welded to the main tower before sculpted concrete and paint are applied. Meanwhile, the lower tower structure is taking shape at the other end of the shop. It is so exciting to finally kick off the prefabrication process for the inn!
