A Mother's Love

A mother’s love is the quiet architecture of our lives — a foundation that is as sturdy as the earth and as precious as a well-loved storybook.

While our magical little hotel is known for romantic getaways, we’ve been touched to see a growing tradition of adult daughters whisking their mothers away to our Under Hill Suite for a “Mom & Me” retreat.

Tucked into the earth, it’s a place that is protective, warm, and grounded. Its whimsical details — from hand-painted wallpaper to a private, sun-dappled garden — echo the decades of shared confidences and belly-laughs that define a mother and daughter’s relationship. And with its open, stair-free layout, it’s designed for ease, so you can simply be together.

Hosting these special retreats reminds us that the most meaningful gifts aren’t found in a box, but in the time we take for one another.

Whether you are celebrating under our roof or savouring tea together in your own living room, we hope your Mother’s Day is filled with the magic of shared moments and love.

Cultivating Magic

There’s a quiet magic that takes hold of our magical little hotel this time of year. As the mountain mist clears and the air turns sweet, the Hazelnut Inn begins, slowly and beautifully, to wake-up.

If you were to peek over the garden walls this week, you’d likely spot Becke tucked away in the courtyards, busy at work. She’s currently hand-selecting and planting this year’s annuals, ensuring that every corner of our private gardens — from the whimsical burrow of the Under Hill to the regal courtyard of our new Copper Crown Suite — is bursting with fresh life and colour.

We can’t wait for you to see what’s growing.
