This week we start the tile work in the Under Hill’s ensuite — we chosen some beautiful tile and I can hardly wait to see it up!

We are having a merry old time, painting the Under Hill’s ensuite. June will be here before you know it!

We are rapidly closing in on finishing the sculpted concrete inside the Under Hill Suite. Just two more days and we’ll be done!

This week we are finishing up the final sculpting inside the Under Hill’s ensuite. I finished off the last of the welding while Matt sculpted two heavy ‘wood’ beams. By the end of the week, we will be down to painting and tile inside the Under Hill — and next year we will start working inside the Copper Crown Suite.

We’ve been called the “Shrek” hotel. Which is a bit confusing… because we aren’t.

I think I understand the reasoning though, because we are a kind of fairytale hotel. Not Shrek’s fairytale, or Bilbo Baggins’ fairytale, or even sleeping beauty’s fairytale — a fairytale of your own.

A little fantasy world you can literally step into.
