We’ve been called the “Shrek” hotel. Which is a bit confusing… because we aren’t.
I think I understand the reasoning though, because we are a kind of fairytale hotel. Not Shrek’s fairytale, or Bilbo Baggins’ fairytale, or even sleeping beauty’s fairytale — a fairytale of your own.
A little fantasy world you can literally step into.
And that’ll do…
The Hazelnut Inn’s North Star Suite evokes the romance of the sea — of pirates and of magic. Staying here is like slipping into your very own fairytale. And the bathtub ain’t bad either 🛁

Years ago, after we had finished designing our magical little hotel — and while we were preparing to start construction — we spent a little time making some signs identifying our three suites.
Each sign features a scroll with the suite’s name and a unique icon — an anchor for the North Star and a crown for the Copper Crown. The Under Hill’s sign features a heart shaped lock symbolizing both love and commitment.
