IAAPA’s 2018 Attractions Expo has come to a close and we are on our way home. We have enjoyed the warm weather and it has been great sharing our project so many wonderful people here in Florida but we are eager to get home again. Our carpenters have been busy in our absence and the North Star’s walls should be framed by the time our plane lands.
We are having a great time here at the IAAPA show! There are people from all over the world here and so many interesting companies.
We are getting lots of compliments on the scale model and I love watching people’s jaws drop (they are literally gasping in amazement!) when we explain that it is a real hotel. We will be here for the rest of the week and then we will be coming home and getting back to making the Hazelnut Inn a reality.
The Copper Crown’s bedroom tower roof is coming along nicely. The framework for the upper section is begun and it won’t be long before it is all ready to install!
The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions EXPO begins tomorrow. The Imagination Corporation display is all set up and ready to go, complete with the Hazelnut Inn model. The attendance of the show is expected to be more than forty thousand people (not a typo) over the next four days.
We have been missing our scale model of the inn for the last few weeks. We packed it up and sent it down to Florida for the IAAPA Attractions Expo. It is the largest show of its kind (in fact, it’s the largest trade show of any kind I have ever seen) and people from all over the world will be attending.
The model will be on display in booth #856 with the Imagination Corporation. Hailey and I are heading down to man the booth during the show this week. Feel free to pop by and introduce yourself if you happen to be attending!
