We have finished carving the Under Hill suite’s front doors. The interior side of the doors feature a pair of stylized trees. Next up, we will sandblast and stain them before installing the windows and FINALLY hanging the doors!
We recently installed the handrails for the North Star suite’s garden walkway. This completes the last of the welding on this section of the Hazelnut Inn - it was a nice little milestone to celebrate! Next up we need to finish painting the sculpted concrete and pour the concrete walkways. Stay tuned!
Yesterday we installed the Hazelnut Inn’s exit sign and we wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone who has been following along as we build the inn. So many of you have been generous with your encouragement and we are very pleased and grateful that you share our enthusiasm for this project! Thank you.
Today was a very cold day for concrete! However, we persevered and carved these lovely corbels under the Copper Crown suite’s main tower.
Today we sculpted the Copper Crown suite’s front dormer. With this section finished we were able to take more lift of scaffold down. Progress!
The Copper Crown suite’s main facade is nearly ready for its skin of sculpted concrete. If the weather co-operates we may even finish the castle’s exterior this fall.
