The Atlantis stone was one of the first pieces we finished for the Hazelnut Inn. Fourteen months later it is finally time to install it.
Guests at the Copper Crown suite of the Hazelnut Inn will sleep in the castle’s tower bedroom. The room is topped with a second smaller tower that spills light down below.
We have been looking forward to lifting the Copper Crown’s bedroom tower into place for several months now and the lift could not have gone smoother. The bedroom’s “skylight” is now a beautiful tower.
Yesterday was a busy day as we lifted nine pieces into place. The castle is now much taller and the ship finally has a mast!
Temperance’s bust now sits precariously atop what soon will be a sandstone block.
The North Star suite at the Hazelnut Inn was, at one time, the home of an adventurer. Little is known of this extraordinary woman, but her likeness can be found in the suite’s garden.
