Why Did We Build The Hazelnut Inn?
Why did we make a bedroom out of a ship and hide a reading nook behind a secret passage?
Making Room For Wonder
Well. We wanted to create something you don’t usually find in a hotel: wonder. Not the kind that asks you to stand back in admiration. The kind that makes you stop in your tracks, look at the person beside you, and say, “Can you believe this?”
As adults, life is often predictable. We know what a hotel looks like, where the lights are, and where to put our luggage. We wanted to interrupt that familiarity. We wanted paths that make you wonder where they lead, doorways that feel like thresholds to another world, and details that make you stop and ask, “Wait — what’s that?”
Stepping Inside The Story
People have dreamed of castles, hidden burrows, and enchanted forests for generations, and we grew up with those same stories. We didn’t invent these worlds, and our goal wasn’t to invent a brand-new fantasy. We wanted to take familiar ideas and make them very, very, extraordinarily specific.
We wanted to take the things we loved about those old stories and make them physical — not as movie sets, but as places you can actually inhabit. Hand-carved stonework. Custom ironwork. Rooms you can explore and discover for yourself.
Our website has plenty of photographs and suite descriptions, but we know they aren’t really sufficient. They don’t quite prepare you to open your suite’s door.
Some people laugh. Others stand frozen for a moment. And sometimes there are tears. Your stories make our inn more than just a building. We built it, but we don’t manufacture what happens when you enter it.
That part belongs to you.
A Setting, Not A Script
We like to think of the inn as a setting rather than a script. We provide the gardens, the rooms, and the hidden surprises, but you control what happens next. It might be an anniversary celebration, a proposal, or simply a couple of quiet days together.
The suites remain the same, but the story changes every time. You can explore every corner or stay in bed all day. You can celebrate a grand occasion or simply enjoy being together.
We’re here to give you “permission” to step outside your usual routine for a little while.
The Return Home
As your stay unfolds, our role shifts into the background. We want you to feel cared — to offer a small surprise left just for you, and then quietly leave you alone.
Of course, your stay won’t last forever. Eventually, you pack your bags, walk back through the gates, and return to the ordinary world. The inn isn’t meant to replace real life; just to interrupt it. Whether you leave with photographs, inside jokes, or simply the memory of waking up somewhere magical, what you take with you is yours.
Thank You For Completing The Inn
We built the walls, the gardens, and the secret passages. We put an unreasonable amount of time into worrying over details. But ultimately, the inn belongs to the moments that happen here. The celebrations. The quiet mornings. The unexpected laughter. The stories you tell when you get home.
Ultimately, it belongs to you..
